MEET BEKAH
Meet Bekah! A wife, a mom of two, a volleyball coach, a newspaper editor, a friend and a lover of Limitless Lab.
// How long have you been a member of Limitless Lab?
Not one of the O.G.’s, but close - since April 2023!
// What is your ‘WHY’? (i.e. why are you a member, what keeps you coming back for more, what is your personal success story, etc.)
I’ve always loved working out and never really needed accountability or someone to go to the gym with. But I found myself doing the same workouts over and over and not really having “fun” (and then forcing myself to run for cardio). After joining the Lab, I immediately loved the community and being a part of a group that wants you to keep improving and pushing you to keep doing better– plus it’s fun working out with friends and competing with yourself for improved times or weights.
My success story is attending the gym all throughout my second pregnancy with my son, which ended up being a successful VBAC. I give total props to the gym and the way I took care of my body during the second pregnancy that allowed for this to happen. It was the best experience and I have the Lab to thank for that!
// What is your favorite fitness movement and why?
I am weird and love burpees and box jumps. But I really love the way the workouts are set up– usually with a strength piece where we can work on one or two muscle groups and then ending with some sort of movement/cardio. I know I definitely wouldn’t be choosing these workouts if I simply went to the gym and did my own workout.
// What has been your least favorite workout and why?
I really hate Thrusters… they’re hard.
// What is your pre- and/or post-workout fuel?
A protein bar.
// What is your favorite gym ‘quirk’ (i.e. inside joke, well-known member quirk, saying, etc.) or personal mantra?
Hmmmm… I’m not sure if I have a favorite quirk but what I do love is getting to know the people at the Lab– I wouldn’t have met them otherwise and it’s fun to go to battle in a workout with them and then hear about their personal or work lives.
// What’s the weirdest thing in your gym bag?
Probably a book… I go nowhere without a book.
